Flinders, Victoria

Time away at the coast…

Although it was only a couple days, Heather and I escaped to their holiday home in Flinders this last weekend. It was quite beautiful.  We did a little shopping, had lunch, finished off a bottle of champagne, had a chat and the next day did some sightseeing around the beautiful beaches and cliffs at Flinders.

This beautiful cove beach is lovely and pretty secluded. There is a very nice golf course that sits atop the hill and overlooks the ocean.  Although it is autumn and still very chilly, we did pop out of the car for some great pictures. You can see all my pictures of Flinders in the photo album 2006 Flinders. I have to thank Heather for taking me up there to see something new. I really enjoyed our time away at the coast.

Tickets are purchased!

Well, our tickets back to the States are purchased and we will be floating around California and Nevada between 22 December and 18 January.  I hope to get to see everyone while I’m there.  I think I listed our potential stops but if I’m going to be in your area please let me know so I can visit… here’s the plan:

22 Dec - 31 Dec: Sacramento, San Francisco, possibly Lake Tahoe
1 Jan - 5 Jan: Chico, Paradise
6 Jan - 9 Jan: L.A., Long Beach, San Luis Obispo
10 Jan - 13 Jan: Las Vegas
14 Jan - 18 Jan: San Diego

Anywho… we are really looking forward to seeing everyone!  We can’t wait.  We are bringing my in-laws Barb & Chris with us for the U.S. Christmas experience, they will be staying with us on or Sacramento leg of the trip.

Other New Items

School is moving right along for me, I have four classes left to complete my Masters of Business Administration in Health Care Management (MBA/HCM) and I am really looking forward to being finished.  Everyone keeps asking if I am going to continue and my answer is not right now. I am thinking of looking into a teaching credential later down the road - we’ll see.

Here’s a shout-out to my friend Julie, she is “engaged to be married” to her fiancee Steve. She has tackled the rough task of finding a new job down in Long Beach and they very excited about a wedding next year.  I’m so very happy for you Jewells & Steve!
